It’s open again! Every Sunday, the Baltimore Farmer’s Market and Bazaar, underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday and Saratoga streets.
For me it is a good fifteen minute walk and a very pleasant one I may say, as I leave home about seven o’clock in the morning when the city is waking up.
Fresh seasonal produce, fresh fruit, meat, eggs, dairy products, bread and baked goods, everything is there. Stands with prepared foods, great smelling coffee make the market a great place for breakfast. All the senses come alive in Baltimore’s farmer market. This time of the year, I find fragrant potted herbs and great flowers.
The days are longer, the air warmer and sweeter and the hunt for the best for my cooking adventures more interesting!
